Overview
La Pratica ("the app") is built with your family's privacy as a top priority. We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the service, and we never sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Microphone Access
La Pratica requests access to your device's microphone solely to detect instrument sounds during practice sessions. All audio processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's SoundAnalysis framework.
- No audio is ever recorded.
- No audio is ever transmitted off your device.
- Audio is analyzed in real time and immediately discarded.
You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
Data We Store on Your Device
All practice data is stored locally on your device using iOS UserDefaults and is never uploaded to any server. This includes:
- Practice session history (date, duration, quality score)
- Practice goals and streaks
- Settings (instrument selection, threshold preferences)
- Pro subscription status (active or expired)
This data is included in standard iOS device backups (iCloud or iTunes) if you have backups enabled.
In-App Purchases
La Pratica offers a monthly auto-renewable subscription called La Pratica Pro ($0.99/month). All purchase transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information. Subscription status is verified locally via Apple's StoreKit framework. You can cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Children's Privacy
La Pratica is designed to be used by children under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The app does not include accounts, profiles, social features, or any data collection that would be subject to COPPA or similar regulations.
Third-Party Services
La Pratica does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash reporting services. The only third-party framework used is Apple's SoundAnalysis (on-device, no network calls).
Data Deletion
You can delete all practice data at any time from within the app: Settings → Clear All History. Uninstalling the app from your device removes all locally stored data.
Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
