How does the AI instrument detection work?

La Pratica uses Apple’s on-device AI to listen through your microphone and identify when you’re actively playing your chosen instrument. It counts only real playing time — pauses and silence are automatically excluded.

Which instruments are supported?

Piano, guitar, violin, cello, trumpet, flute, and more. Select your instrument in Settings before starting a session for the best accuracy.

Why isn’t my instrument being detected?

What is the quality score?

The quality score is an AI confidence measure of how clearly your instrument is detected. It’s designed to be encouraging — a score of 80+ means the AI clearly hears you playing.

What is the Family Pack?

The Family Pack is a one-time in-app purchase ($4.99) that unlocks unlimited practice sessions, full history, all trophies, and all premium features. There are no subscriptions — you pay once and own it forever.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?

Go to Settings → Restore Purchase inside the app, or tap “Restore” on the paywall screen. Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID and restores automatically.

How do I clear my practice history?

Go to Settings → Clear All History. You’ll be asked to confirm before anything is deleted.

Can multiple family members use the app?

Yes! The Family Pack covers the whole family on shared devices. Each family member can set their own instrument and practice goal.
